A great tablet if portability, small size and value are important to you

First of all I like the Parblo Coast10. Its portability and small size literally changed my life. I work in two locations every day, my studio and home, and I can easily transport my Parblo Coast10 between the two locations in the same backpack that I use for my laptop. I've been using a 12" Wacom Cintiq for years, which is also technically portable - I've definitely taken it from place to place - but it has four cords and some kind of box (don't know what it's called). , as well as other things .It requires a separate backpack separate from my laptop and I have to remember to pack all of its parts. But my Cintiq is dying so I started looking for a replacement last month (my Cintiq is outdated it is at the time). I mentioned that I love the Parblo Coast10's portability, but I haven't mentioned its low cost yet. The Parblo Coast10 costs about a third of a new Cintiq (13"), maybe even less (I've got myself opted for the warranty plan so I ended up paying about a third.) Don't get me wrong I love my Cintiq and it's better than the Parblo Coast10 in many ways, but if mobility, size and cost are important to you, go for it You might want to consider the Parblo Coast10. FYI: I use Mac. Pros > Portability > Size (I'm an illustrator. If I were a good artist I might want a bigger tray.) > Cost > Feet to lift the tray. There are two levels. I usually work horizontally on a table, but on my Parblo Coast10 I've started using lower legs. A competitor tablet doesn't lay flat at all which rules that out for me > Good customer service > I can unplug the Parblo Coast10 USB cable before shutting down the computer. The Cintiq doesn't allow me to do that. > Calibrating the position of the pen tip on the screen is easy and convenient > The Parblo Coast10 comes with a glove. I've never used a glove with a tablet but found myself loving it! I have a small hand so I bought another glove. Here is a link to the glove I chose that fits me perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CX0AIUG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1>The pen is thin which I pleases. I mention this because others might not like it (so many pens and styluses are thick these days.) > Parblo comes with a screen protector that the owner must apply. I hate installing these things and I used to have a field full of blisters. BUT, instead of buying a new screen protector and risking a new batch of blisters, I bought a .003 acetate film (very cheap!), cut the screen protector out of it, and glued it to the tablet on the left side. I can turn the acetate like a page in a book, which allows me to draw/draw directly onto the Parblo Coast10 glass if I want to (that's how I use the Cintiq).> I love the Parblo Coast10 device cases and stylus. Cons > Parblo Coast10 cannot be used with Wacom driver installed. I wish I could use both tablets on the same computer > Photoshop doesn't work perfectly with Parblo Coast10. For example, the straight edge lasso tool doesn't work well, and sometimes I have to close and reopen Photoshop files to get them working properly on Parblo Coast 10. > Also, more importantly to me, some brush strokes look up in Photoshop Parblo different from Coast10. than on the Cintiq. It totally scared me at first, but since then I've created brushes for Parblo and Cintiq, so I sometimes use different brushes to create the same strokes depending on what tablet I'm using. (As long as it doesn't die for good, I can still use the Cintiq on another laptop.) > The Parblo Coast10 driver doesn't always recognize the device. I can use Parblo Coast10 a lot but I can't change its settings because I get a "NoDevice" error. > As far as driver settings go, not everything is functional. For example, I can set the stylus button to double click, but nothing else, although other options are listed. > The color isn't very good. For color I rely on printouts and my laptop monitor. I'm writing a long review because the support rep I contacted told me that reviews are helpful to their developers.
