After struggling with the trigger thumb and the pain and weakness it brings, I wanted some soft support and maybe even some compression. I've tried a traditional thumb splint with a metal bar and all and it actually hurt more. It helped a lot and was exactly what I wanted. Wearing it reduces pain and actually makes it easier to move your thumb. No problem breaking it. It's pretty durable unless you use brute force. I wash my hands often, which I can easily do without taking them off. However, after wearing it underneath for several hours, it gets hot, sticky and itchy. It is very easy to take care of him. Wash with mild soap and water, allow to dry and lightly dust the inside with cornstarch. While I will most likely need thumb surgery, until I push the ball and have surgery, it helps make life easier.
