This works fine on my Dell E6420 laptop although the specs say it needs 8GB maximum. I took a chance after reading what others are saying about their 6420 running with 32GB RAM and I'm glad I did. I'm a software developer and often have dozens of memory-intensive tools open. I'm using Linux Mint 17.2 with Windows 7 in a Virtualbox VM for some Windows related stuff. 8GB wasn't enough. Buy recommendation.
