I used this shelf next to my bed, I don't have a bedside table so I use it as a bedside table. I was really impressed with it, the only thing I thought was that it would be a little bit deeper than it is. But for $15 including the shelf, screws, and brackets, it was definitely worth it. I've added a photo of my hand on the shelf to show how deep it is.
