that was pretty much done for

finally sent it back as faulty. In all honesty, perhaps the biggest issue with this product is that it comes with no instructions, there are no instructions anywhere on the company's website and no troubleshooting guide or contact information to get help from the company. The big problem was that I managed to cut off one of the three mounting bolts by simply tightening the nut by hand! Once that happened, it was over. However, I connected the wiring harness and when I used the turn signal in the car, the clicker would not stay on and the mirror needle would only flash once. Maybe this part would fix itself if I went far enough to put the entire door assembly back together, but I'm not sure how because at the same time I reconnected all the other wiring harnesses that I had to disconnect. to remove the door panel to access what I needed to install this. Again, some sort of troubleshooting website would be REALLY helpful. The mirror itself appears to be of good quality, with a paintable black backing to match the part painted on the original equipment. The motor moved well when plugged in. However, looking behind the mirror it is clear that this mirror is not attached like the original mirror and therefore I would not be able to remove just the mirror part of this entire assembly and replace just the mirror part. In other words, you must intend to replace the entire mirror assembly as shown in the product images, and not just use this for mirror parts. The paintable surface on the back seemed to move as if it could be easily removed, but I don't know how easy it would be to remove the mirror cap from the original mirror and glue it into this mirror if you didn't. I don't want to bother with painting a new mirror. So again, this can indeed be a great mirror, but most importantly, don't over-tighten the nuts on the mounting bolts!
