Functional but color short lived

My 2 year old son LOVES this gift. He hasn't even got into the bathroom as he just loves to make it chew and run around with it! It works well BUT when it arrived the packaging was very bent and torn. In addition, the paint on both eyes has faded and the paint on the teeth has severely peeled off. The toy has been at our house for 5 weeks. Not long enough to show such signs of wear. Maybe there is another version with better paint quality control!
