I love my Panasonic but two years later it needed new blades. Many reviewers say you have to change the foil and blades at the same time, but the kit costs as much as half a shaving rice, which is crazy. Replacing just the blades is part of the cost. Well, the new blades changed the world. It's not that I had problems with 2 year old blades, it's just that shaving is now more comfortable and smoother and no more pulling if you wait two days to shave. And also closer. I don't understand why people insist on replacing the slide at the same time. In my opinion these are blades that cut through the skin and the sole purpose of the foil is to prevent the blades from touching your skin. For me my opinion is don't waste money replacing foil unless it's clearly damaged. $15 for new blades, $45 for blades and foil, $95 for a brand new razor.
