UPDATE: I just received my Apple Pencil and decided to use it with this case. Case and Apple Pencil didn't get along so well at first. At first the Apple Pencil wouldn't even connect, so I had to remove the pairing case. After a few tries, it started charging my Apple Pencil, although it still wasn't that reliable. After a few minutes of testing, the Apple Pencil is now fully compatible with the case and the case reliably charges my Apple Pencil. The strap provides more security when carrying your tablet. I really like using this case. It doesn't feel too cheap, it looks great, but there are a few things I think Spigen needs to change here. Cons: First, the lid attracts a lot of dust and is really thin. After just a few minutes of use, I turned it over and was shocked at how much dust it had picked up. My old iPad case also has a lid, but even after a year it's not as dirty as this one. I'm also worried about the lid breaking or tearing since it's so thin. I will update this review if anything happens. Second, the case uses magnets to support the iPad. Sometimes it doesn't get fixed properly and iPad crashes. I think they should add stronger magnets to the lid. But if it snaps right, I'd give it a 5/5. The case also gets in the way when you hold the iPad in your hand. I wish there was a way to glue the cover to the back of the case so it doesn't hang around. On the plus side, first, Spigen claims this case offers "military-grade drop protection" and includes "air-cushion technology." I am confident that this case will protect my iPad from falls and scratches. Second, "Utility Mode" is really useful, especially when you type or write on it. It won't unlock even if you press on it very hard. The solenoid is great too. This prevents the lid from opening accidentally and protects your Apple Pencil. It also charges your Apple Pencil even through the case, which is a HUGE win. I will update this review when I get my Apple Pencil and add photos. In addition, the sleep/wake function works flawlessly, allowing the iPad to wake up automatically without pressing the Power/Touch ID button. Finally, the cutouts are extremely precise and you can easily access Touch ID and the USB-C port. The cut-outs for the loudspeakers also fit perfectly. All in all, I recommend this product. This is a relatively well-made and well-designed product with a few minor issues that Spigen can easily fix.
