This product is a very good natural alternative to traditional flea and tick medications that enter the dog's bloodstream. We live in an area that has a lot of ticks - my short legged little dachshund would sometimes pick up 10 of them on a short walk even though we used Advantix. So I stopped using Advantix completely (she always itched after using it anyway) and she felt very good. You'll need to remember to apply it at least once a day for it to be effective, but while you're at it, no little hitchhikers on your furry friend. It has a pleasantly spicy aroma and smells strongly of cinnamon. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because she really doesn't like it when it's sprayed on her, so I spray it on my arm and then all over her coat.
