Review on πŸ“š Moukey MBP-2 Wireless Page Turner Pedal with Tablet Teleprompter App Control by Rob Madden

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad device, but quite loud (see details). Conditionally recommended

Now that I have real scripts, a teleprompter, and much improved performance, it looks like it's time to add the Moukey Wireless Rechargeable Page Turner (MBP-2). There's nothing fancy about Moukey, as it just adds a few rudimentary navigation controls to your paired device as the main HMI. I was able to use it with a PC and with an Android tablet. Pairing is easy. The $53 the Moukey costs (with a $3 coupon at the time of this review) definitely feels a little steep, but that's probably to be expected from a device with a limited audience. I'm not entirely against them making money, but I have to be aware of a few things. Although the device looks a bit like a guitar pedal, it's nowhere near as reliable as a pedal. It is in order. I understand they're trying to achieve a certain aesthetic, but the one area I feel they should have put a little more effort into is the turn/play/stop switches. The gap between the switch and the housing causes an audible "click" when pressed. To me, this hissing isn't loud enough for my mic, but YMMV. Conditionally recommended

  • PREPARE YOUR HANDS: Free your hands to read on phones, tablets and PCs so hand reading doesn't interfere with your music practice. Signal stability and strong anti-interference ability.
