Review of Cacti for Network Monitoring
The ability to use this platform as an additional layer in my network monitoring. It allows me to see what other devices are reporting at any given time which can be very helpful when troubleshooting problems or trying to determine if something is really malicious versus just being misconfigured by myself or someone else who has access to that device/server. I do not have anything particular dislike about it but there isn't much more than that - nothing comes to mind specifically right now either! As stated above, using this software helps us understand our environments better so we know where things may need attention before they become critical issues within production systems.
Pros
- Ability for multiple people (and their credentials) log into one tool
- Ease with learning how its functions work without needing extensive training courses like most security companies would provide you.
- Allows integration from third party tools easily through API's etc
- Easy user experience makes navigation easy once learned even though complex system underlies all processes involved.
- Can integrate directly onto server instances allowing live data
Cons
- I don't really have any dislikes about this, everything is just fine
