
Captured this lightbulb with Echo Dot. It WILL NOT CONNECT to my TP-Link Archer Alexa router. It connects to my Netgear router. This is NOT a router error - the problem is in the WiFi/Firmware of the Sengled lamp and Sengled Support cannot figure it out. If you look at reviews with lower ratings, you will see others with the same problem. Bottom line, this lamp may work for you depending on what router you have. Or maybe not work. And it might work today but not in the future when you update/change your router - because there is a bug in the lightbulb code. How do I know? 1) I had another IoT smart device that had a connection issue and it was fixed when the vendor released new firmware for their smart device. 2) My router's status is shown when a WiFi device connects/connects with a Mac ID - I see the Sengled light is trying to connect to the router - this attempt takes a few seconds and fails, the Light repeats the process several times and then gives up (the light flashes once). My router meets all published requirements - 2.4 GHz. , and I have connected other smart things. I've spent a lot of time getting it to work, even unplugging everything else so only the bulb is plugged in - still the same, sorry, try/fail/try/fail/try/fail sequence. Completely unsatisfactory answer from Sengled. I will not buy anything from this company again!
