This key fob has either no or an incompatible proximity sensor so it cannot be programmed in the car and requires a locksmith. Once programmed, it works normally without a proximity sensor, but not in emergency mode (the key fob battery is dead). My locksmith installed a new proximity chip in my fob for an additional $15 so it now works in emergency mode. As a result, the key fob works perfectly. with an additional $15 chip. I gave it four stars instead of five because of a proximity sensor issue not mentioned in the product description.
