Bought to fix dry air in my house in winter and two years later I can say it has done a great job. I install it on the floor in my computer room and its relative humidity can go from 22% to 35% or more depending on the day. It lasts over 7 hours on high settings, about twice as long as I think on low. Sometimes it makes a faint "gurgling" during operation, but most of the time it's silent. The auto-off function failed early on once, but it's been working flawlessly ever since, so it now seems like a glitch was an accident. However, I don't usually use this when I'm not at home, and when I'm at home I try to top up the water at the same time of the day so it doesn't run out.
