Review on ๐ŸŽง Immerse in Ultimate Audio Bliss with Audio-Technica ATH-ANC40BT QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth Wireless In-Ear Headphones by Danny Trapanese

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great performance, perfect fit, mediocre sound and active noise cancellation (ANC)

I used to only have one or two mobile devices to connect my Bluetooth headsets to. but now I have several: a smartphone, a tablet, a Chromebook, two laptops, a not-so-portable TV, and Alexa speakers that I sometimes want to listen to privately without disturbing other people in the house. I also travel (when the world isn't in a pandemic), so I'd like two more things: active noise cancellation that works on noisy transit routes and on planes, and the ability to connect to the plane's entertainment system. This headset is very comfortable. It's comfortable to wear and does everything, with one caveat (its ANC is weaker than I would have liked), but the sound quality falls far short of an inexpensive ($22) headset with a single Bluetooth connection. I've been using it for three years. I expected better. A headset that is uncomfortable to listen to is unacceptable to me. I will return them. Pros: * Really comfortable in-ear fit which I've had trouble with other headsets. * Some (minimal) active noise cancellation. * Supports up to 8 Bluetooth devices, two devices at the same time. --- Note. I've found that if I already have two devices connected, I have to turn off Bluetooth, go out of range, or turn off a device and then manually connect to the new device. * Supplied with cable and adapter to connect to a wired headset jack or in-flight entertainment system. Cons: * The sound quality is not very good. Too little depth, weak bass. Even verbal presentations sound tinny*. The active noise cancellation works, but is rather weak. If you're planning on using this headset to sleep on a plane or to cancel out noise on the subway or bus, you should look elsewhere. * The control buttons and active noise cancellation switch are on one side and are not very intuitive to use.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
