I bought this to keep one in the car and one at work. They're solid and the telescoping feature is nice and snug so the item doesn't close around you as you pace on your back. The edges of the scratches are sharp enough to feel good, but not sharp enough to rip off chunks of meat. I ordered stainless steel instead of chrome because I didn't want to worry about little bits of chrome getting stuck in my back if they broke. I am happy with my choice.
