Review on Smart Light Bulbs Alexa Wifi by Carlos Phillips

Revainrating 3 out of 5

tedious installation; lasted hours!

OK, first things first. I already have smart lightbulbs, but I've decided to pay more attention to the electrical devices I've bought from Revain. This is because many electrical devices (smart sockets, smart lightbulbs, lighting, cooking appliances, etc.) are not UL rated. It is the safety and fire hazards that are potentially for sale. That being said, if you set your house on fire with these devices, you're to blame, along with liability for insurance, etc. With that in mind, I've modified smart lightbulbs to be UL certified because they stay on and too when they are not at home and use the schedule settings. Now these lightbulbs. Three stars. They have a nice color palette and integrate easily with Alexa. If Kasa is already on Alexa, they just sync with it. The bulbs have a good range of colors and are customizable. The Kasa smart app is easy to use. However, they are not very bright, darker than I wanted. Attitude. What a problem. I have Kasa Smart Sockets and my mesh network is a Deco 4 network. Both TPs are Link. The plugs were easy to install. Those lights weren't that simple. If I understand the problem, it's simple. The application to install these lamps is confusing. I would connect to the lightbulb but that would break the process. If anyone has this problem, it's easy to fix. I have understood. The app is misleading. When connecting to a lightbulb, manually connect to the lightbulb in the phone settings. Then return to the app and enter your WiFi password. You then need to manually turn Wi-Fi back on on your phone and reconnect to the network. Once you've done that, you can complete the setup. It's frustrating but easy when you manually toggle your phone's Wi-Fi connection. You must manually connect your Wi-Fi phone to the bulb. The app is misleading. Anyway, after two hours of fiddling with the setup, trying to figure it out, and the low light, I'm giving it three stars. Once the setting is figured out, it's easy. With Kasa Smart Plugs, you don't have to manually toggle Wi-Fi on your phone.

Pros
  • Energy monitoring and planning: real-time energy monitoring. Reduce power consumption without sacrificing quality (60W equivalent). Use a timer or schedule to set the light to turn on and off automatically at any time, e.g. B. waking up in the morning to a soft light with a sunrise offset.
Cons
  • Only available in black
