Love it but could use some improvement, quite pricey

I am very happy with this monitor setup. It's really nice to be able to extend my laptop screen to 3 monitors when I'm working on projects. It makes video editing a dream! Setup was easy - Windows 10 recognized both with no issues, and my laptop had 2 video outputs that I can use (one USB-C and one HDMI). What I really like about the design is that one of the monitors can be turned upside down. backwards to the back of the monitor so someone sitting behind your laptop can see what you're working on. This is very handy when you want to discuss something with another person while you are both sitting across from each other at the table. I think it easily fits most laptops with the way they built the clips. You stretch the center piece to the width of your laptop screen and then hang it on steel brackets at the top. There are small plastic clips on the bottom sides that help hold the monitor in place. Unfortunately they are small and thin, I see they don't help much or even break on some laptops. However, they may not even be needed if your opened screen is perpendicular to the table - the monitor should hang normally. I see two possible problems with some laptops. First, this screen is pretty heavy. So unless your laptop screen hinge has a lot of resistance, it could wobble forwards or backwards due to the extra weight. Some models can also be easily "knocked over" or "knocked over". They have a "stand" that you can extend to support the weight, but it wasn't long enough to help with my laptop's screen size. Second, you can't adjust much more than the width, so this method is really designed to hang on the thin, flat screen of a laptop. What I don't like is that you have to route the cables for both sides separately on each side. Power and signal to monitors. It would be nice if they duplicated the ports so you could run all the cables in one direction but choose which side to connect to. When you connect monitors, it really becomes a mess of cables, there is no pretty solution. Finally, the price is a bit high. However, given the uniqueness and portability of this solution, they can justify it a bit. I would prefer it to be listed at around $300 though - I think that would be a fairer price. But if you want the features this offers, the price probably isn't a big deal, it's worth it. I should point out that they come with a nice soft carrying case that helps protect them in transit. The kit also includes 2 sets of cable types you need to connect to most laptops - one set for each side. Overall I am very happy with this monitor kit and will use it often. I think they could work on a better solution for mounting to your laptop screen or even give you a 'standalone' option to sit a little behind your screen and that could definitely use better cable management. But it's great at what it does, so I'd definitely recommend it to laptop users looking for a three-screen solution.
