Does the job, brings the bass.

Everything seems fine on the second day. It delivers great bass and sounds good. I use it on my PS4 to convert to a 3.5mm jack for the Harmon Kardon Soundsticks III speakers I use, which have a bass control on the subwoofer that's perfect for adding just the right amount of rumble find the combination you want for games/movies. with this adapter you get the whole spectrum of sounds. The headphones also sound good and retain the bass, so I don't think this adapter loses any audio signal that I can notice. All I had to do was plug it in and make sure the PS4 was on PCM sound (default), and make the default audio output device optical instead of HDMI. Optical cable, USB cable and wall adapter were included. It plugs right in and I use the PS4's rear USB port for power. The PS4 does not have a master volume control, so the volume control is very convenient. It doesn't seem to heat up so I hope it holds up and I'll update if it fails. The only thing I would have liked more was the included adhesive pad to stick and secure this thing on. I have found that I cannot trust the HDMI cable for audio as monitors/TVs sometimes use low quality audio equipment and plug in headphones/speakers. to make the monitor lose a lot of bass in my case. On the other hand, optical ports should always be of high quality, otherwise why is this technology for consumers? It's worth it if you want quality sound from your speakers without a screen as an intermediary separating the audio signal.
