This heart locket is robust and keeps closed very well. Anyway, it's a bit tricky to open as there really isn't a groove to make it easier to open. I have more trouble opening than closing :) But it looks beautiful and definitely a good gift for a girl. The interior space is also small enough to hold a small pill, such as a small allergy pill. The pendant is well made, but the chain could be stronger.
