The camera has good picture quality and the microphone is a great addition. The only problem is that the microphone is supposed to be rechargeable, but it actually comes with a battery, so you'll be buying batteries on a regular basis. However, my Windows PC quickly recognized the camera when I selected it as "PC Camera" in the menu and I was up and running within minutes with live feeds and zoom, which is what I wanted. **Update** A brand new battery that I put in the external mic died after only three (3) 45 minute sessions with the camera. It's marketed as a 'rechargeable mic' but clearly requires a stack of button batteries. There is also no other microphone on the camera. If the battery in the microphone dies, you will have no sound. The remote control still doesn't work. I've tried new batteries in the remote and panned the unit from all angles to see if I can find a good middle ground for the remote but it looks dead on arrival. Since I got it from one table on a tripod within reach I don't think it matters much but if you are looking for a remote control there is no guarantee that the remote control that came with this unit will work.
