Might work for this purpose but not the 100% cotton I wanted and stated in the description. I washed and dried with vinegar and baking soda, as one reviewer said, to soften them. They are not very soft after washing, just a little softer. I planned to use them as burp cloths and lay the baby down during diaper changes. I'm not sure how absorbent they are for polyester. I won't lie, I'm disappointed. I wouldn't buy them again. And I would go again, but who has time. If you look at the label on the blankets and the fact that the product description doesn't match anything.
