First I would like to say that I purchased the NEW Generation G2 shorts which appeared to solve many of the issues that other reviewers had. I have to say these shorts feel great! They are not too long and not too short. Exactly right ;) I can't STAND to squat or deadlift and my shorts are hanging on my knees. These shorts are about 3-4 inches above the knee (see squat video) and do not affect my performance. I'm a 5'11" male, my weight ranges from 155-180 pounds and my waist size is 30-32 depending on how often I go to the gym. I bought the medium ones and they fit very well (currently mine is Weight 160lbs and my waist 30", a relaxed fit and definitely a lot more room to grow (maybe up to 32-33"). The pockets are pretty darn perfect too. I haven't checked the strength but the zippers seem to be too strong I used to have shorts with two front zips and have since fallen in love with these shorts. The pockets are straight down so even without the zip you won't lose any of them unless on an incline bench. Check out the attached photos, to see how the iPhone 8 Plus fits easily into pockets.
