Works well, good price

plug and play. It takes a lot of fiddling with Windows, but that's ok. While Windows can see the device, it may also be necessary to go into the sound settings and tell Windoze to actually use what it sees. Internet. I've copied a few LPs and half a dozen cassettes so far and am happy with the results. Nice to have some of those old tunes on the server. The sound quality is excellent. A few thoughts on ripping with Audacity: After it's ripped, there are a few "effects" filters you might want to try -1) Gain - applies gain to the ripped tracks if the audio seems too quiet. highlighted. 2) Click - Handles the worst of LP clicks and pops well. It can be used spotwise only when needed or applied to the entire crack as needed. Not a panacea, but useful. Splitting into separate tracks: I haven't been able to find an easy way to do this in Audacity, although you might think there's a tool for that. Instead, File > Export the entire rip as one file, then use NCH's free Wavepad program, which makes splitting easier.
