Did NOT work well. best in fridges, freezers and ice makers
Purchased for model LFX28978ST. Wax delivery is ok but the item does not work. The part of the door connected to the hinge did not work smoothly. It didn't always move to the correct position causing the door to not close properly. After trying for a while I decided to replace it before my door broke. I then purchased a "direct replacement for LG Kenmore MHY62044103 Heavy Duty French Steel Compatible Refrigerator CCW Freezer Repair Spring for LFX25973ST LFX25973SB LFX25973SW" which was just as difficult to install but appears to work properly. The time will show.
