This cat shelf is great if you have a wooden window sill to attach with the screws provided. his favorite place to sit. The fur comforter is easy to wash, so accidental accidents with fur balls on the bedding can be easily fixed. I've tried contacting the company to see if they sell extra covers but it's been over 2 months and they haven't responded so don't assume it's very unfortunate as the cat doesn't want to use it while you clean the linens without linens. Shelf to windowsills where you don't want to use screws, but it's just standard Velcro and will eventually give way to your cat's weight and the shelf with the continuous leaps cat will make to climb on. If you plan to use velcro to attach it to your windowsill, I highly recommend getting an industrial-grade velcro, which is used to protect electronics from earthquakes. This stuff will work like a charm.
