I use Headphones with Mic in my Android and older iPhone 6s and they have good enough sound quality and won't break the bank when you need to replace them from time to time. The problem with fancy wireless earbuds is that they need to be charged and drain your phone's battery since Bluetooth needs to be on to use them. I find the cheaper old school wired headphones better as in my experience the headphones tend to get lost or even stepped on and when walking public transport in the dark I prefer the basic wired version so I can use them in the eye can keep, plus at this price point I don't feel guilty about snagging a new pair if it's damaged or missing.
