These things are fairly inexpensive strips of multicolored LED lights that can be hung almost anywhere as long as you have access to a power outlet. Holiday decorations for birthday parties or any type of party or night out. One side is covered with tape covered with tear tape. So if you have a flat surface (wall, roof joist, etc.) applying the strip is a breeze in minutes. There are a few problems: the glue may not last long; Some surfaces are too rough to work and you cannot leave the light on for many hours as it can build up enough heat to burn out. But the strips I bought were good for an hour or two at a time, a fun light show that our granddaughter loved. Another weird thing is that they come with a little handheld IR controller that turns them on and off, flashes them, changes the color scheme, etc. But there were so many buttons and I haven't seen a clear explanation anywhere on how one handles it work. all is well. I just turned it on and set it to gradually change the colors of the rainbow and that was enough for me. So the controller had about four times as many buttons as I needed or used, but then again, for a few bucks, why complain? Finally, there are connecting blocks, so you'll need to be able to connect multiple strips in series to form a long strip that forms a three- or four-sided perimeter or other structure. As an amateur engineer, I could NOT get the connectors to work. However, the 16-foot strand of multicolored light is quite long. And if you really want to tie a few together, you might be better off than me.
