Hello everyone! Welcome to my review of the Ritche Oil Wax Leather Watch Band. Earlier this week I received the Tawny/Silver version of the 22mm oil wax leather strap. I've abused it more than I could and am pleasantly surprised by what I got. let's go back I chose the tawny variant as my second choice after dark brown/black. It just wasn't in 22mm. I wanted my Aeromat Vol De Nuit to look like a sturdy leather flight jacket, so Tawny had to take on the challenge. I love the look. When I first got the strap it was a bit stiff as many people have said but I spent about 3-5 minutes working out the strap and it really loosened up. But let's be honest. If you want soft, delicate leather, you won't buy striped leather. Pros: The buckle hardware feels secure. Dimension holes are punched clean. Liked the length and shape. The stitching seems to be of good quality, the thick thread breaks well. No extra threads sticking out to pierce you. So far it has failed. I got it wet when I washed my hands, rubbed it, sweated it. I have yet to see any signs of failure or stains of leather paint on my wrist. In the photos you can see a slight coloring and texture of the water. I washed my hands before taking photos. Since then they have almost completely disappeared. The rest gives the watch a nice stained "loved/used" look. Cons: I wish the first loop of the strap was sewn in. Mine always seem to end up together. Be honest so far. If that changes, I'll add it later. Thoughts: I wish the dark brown version was offered in 22mm and also had a silver buckle option. That would be my first choice. However, I am very satisfied with this product and would buy it again.
