You need 750ml of distilled water to calibrate the meter (3 different powder solutions). The process takes about 10 minutes, then a small amount of distilled water to clean after completion. Follow the simple instructions and you'll get instant readings with amazingly accurate results. I just replaced my old meter (same model) after a year of daily use, it started reading a little slower. My next counter in about a year will be the exact same model.
