Review on Convenient and Comfortable PETKIT Pet Backpack Carrier for Cats by Carol Long

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Alaska Airlines Approved (window seat only)

I scoured the abyss of google to find a cat backpack that was: half my size) - it had a great design. It was a PETKIT backpack. First, it's airline-approved for at least the Alaska Airlines cabin in economy mode. I was concerned it wouldn't fit under the seat because Southwest (another reviewer) had large rims under the seat. But this backpack fits right under the seat in front of me. It slides about halfway under the window seat. It will NOT fit completely under the middle row seat so you need to take this into account when booking flights/seats. Airport check-in and customs went well too - you can ask for a "separate screening room" if you don't want to take your pet out of the carrier. Now for the fan and lighting features: it's just beautiful. Some buyers don't read the quick start guide and then complain that "fan and light don't work". The manual specifically states (and I'm pretty sure on the box) that an external power supply/battery is required for the fan and light to work. That's all. Simply open the side pocket and connect the power bank to the USB cable (integrated in the backpack). The fan will turn on automatically for your pet. My power bank is 10cm x 8cm (4" x 3"), but the pocket is big enough for a 6" (15cm) high power bank. I thought the features sounded too good to be true online "But they're real! Changing the fan setting from "Auto" is done via the touchscreen, and turning the light on and off is just a long press. The fan performance isn't the strongest, so I don't recommend relying too much on it to leave. But it gives the kitty a little extra breeze. And the light works well too. I think the backpack attracted no less attention than the kitten. Several people have commented on this and never seen such a "high tech" before " backpack. I love the aesthetic and everything about this backpack. It's pricey but well worth it - did I mention I had to carry my cat on about 2 hour walks? It really isn't a bad choice if you put it in To consider!
