The size does not fit, the cord is short

On the right is a new charger against my old one that no longer works. I bought this for my Wahl Sterling Mag lithium ion trimmer. It says it's compatible, but as you can see the new charging head is longer, so it won't charge. I don't know if I have a marriage or it just doesn't suit my trimmer. It works when I rock it like an old charger you want a few more weeks off. Also a very short cable. wouldn't buy
