I bought a plus size kimono which is not big. Strangely, it's smaller than the usual size. Some of us have them for group choreographies and they were all different sizes, lengths and qualities. Mine has weird armholes that are smaller at the top than the bottom so it fits snugly in your armpit. Others weren't. One lady came very short and this also had to be a large size. Mine is cracked too. The moral of the story is don't buy plus size clothes, just go for a regular size and save yourself a few bucks and a headache. Or even look for another. I mean, it's beautiful, but what's the point if you can't wear it because it's dull and tears easily.
