Review on Line Relay G30 Wireless Guitar by Tamanika Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Possibly the best budget wireless system out there.

I bought 2 of these systems and they are probably the best value wireless systems on the market. When I say budget I mean it really isn't that expensive compared to some other options. If like me you play in a local band or more, 100ft of gear is more than enough for pretty much anything. If you really need more than 100 feet of transmission, Line6 offers two higher ranges. Level models, each with an additional 100 feet of transmission. I really dislike a lot of Line6 products, especially their amps, but I support these wireless systems. I haven't had any signal loss and have found that my audio gets even better when I use this! The only thing I don't like is the simulated cable on the receiver which I think pretty much defeats one of the features but you don't have to use it so it's great! There are 6 channels available in the system, allowing other members of your group to share the same wireless network without interference. For example in my band I use wireless on channel 1 and our other guitarist uses it on channel 2 and from that level it increases until you hit 6 which should be good enough for most bands. The AA batteries last about 8 hours of playback, so be sure to turn them off when you're done using them. You don't have to worry about it staying plugged in, that's fine, just make sure it's turned off when in use. Another great feature of this device is that it has a battery status indicator and an audible indicator. This is really great for troubleshooting if there are any issues. Both the transmitter and receiver will glow green when sound is passing through the system. So if you don't hear any sound, you can find out which component is either not connected properly or might be defective. Luckily, Line6 offers each and every part of this system separately in case one breaks. All in all, if you've been playing on wired and itching to go wireless, get it and you won't regret it.

Pros

Cons
  • To replace the old
