These 25 watt lamps will NOT fit standard 14" lava lamps. These lamps are S11 medium screw base instead of A15 medium screw base (standard household size) required for any traditional 14 inch lava lamp. After reading the quick burnout reviews, I also studied the design of the filament. The standard "instrument bulb" used in lava lamps is a C-9 filament design (a long filament in an arc of about 300°). These lamps only have a short filament angled up/down like an angle, it is not a long lasting filament. I have returned all the lamps that I ordered. The RMA process was simple and straightforward. Search ALL DEPARTMENTS for "25 WATT A15" to find a range of true 25 watt incandescent lamps to match traditional lava lamps. Follow standard household thread MEDIUM.
