The razor's performance is adequate, but it is not worth the asking price. Rubber strips provide a secure and comfortable grip on the handle. When you are shaving, you won't have to worry about the machine slipping out of your hands. If you don't shave very often, the blades that come with the kit won't last you more than a week, even if you buy new ones. The distinction between this and throwaway machines did not register with me in any way. It would be more cost effective to buy disposable looms.
