Review on 🎧 Shure SE846-CL High-Definition MicroDriver Earphones with Enhanced Subwoofer and Secure In-Ear Fit - Clear by Sheila Osorio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

INCREDIBLE, but what did you expect?

First things first $1,000 for a pair of headphones or earbuds is incredibly insane…. People will look at you like you have five heads, which is why I never advertise their worth. Is it worth? Let's get to that. Accessories: I won't spend much time on this as accessories are extensively listed here on Amazon and on the Shure website. Put simply, there is everything you need. You get a set of earbuds, a headphone case, adapters, two different length cables, a carrying case for all accessories, etc. You don't have to buy anything else, the cables are awesome, no extra cable needed. . I don't need the right foam tips, lots of advice here. Design/Build Quality: Build quality is solid. Much, much better than the 535. iems has no weaknesses. Headphones are worn on the ear with a memory wire. I have oddly shaped ears and I usually struggle with on-ear headphones, but these fit perfectly. I was able to get a snug fit with a medium sized rubber tip and the sound isolation is just unreal. There is no outside noise and nothing can be heard when playing music. I've never seen such good insulation, just make sure you fit snugly. One thing that is very important to note is the nozzle inserts. These headphones come with three nose inserts: bright (slightly focused on high frequencies), neutral (balanced), warm (slightly focused on low frequencies). When I received them, based on the reviews, I immediately changed them to warm pads. Changing them wasn't very difficult, but definitely take your time and have an open workspace. Shure driving directions are very detailed. Comfort: They are very comfortable and stay in the ears. By comfort I don't mean cushions for your ears or forget you're wearing them, but they don't cause any pain or discomfort. I wear them for hours with no problems. You don't need an amplifier. To be clear, with an impedance of 9 ohms (the lowest I've seen) you will most likely damage your ears, your amp, and those devices while attempting to use the amp. Using an iPod, phone or anything with a quality internal DAC is all you need. The incredibly low impedance is the result of an integrated amplifier driving 4 drivers incredibly well. Sound quality: unreal, magical, pure bliss. To give a little background, I'm a studio headphone freak. I'm not claiming to be an audiophile as there are people who know the term a lot better than I do, but I'm an audio enthusiast and have been a headphone lover for a very long time. I prefer the Sennhiesers HD headphones (600/650/700/800). These headphones have massive drivers, require a high quality aftermarket amp/DAC/cable setup and are not portable, but to me they are worth it for the incredible sound and soundstage they produce. I've never been a huge fan of iems or headphones as they never offer the wide open soundstage, layering or detail that a pair of studio headphones offer...until now. The soundstage and layering of these elements is incredible. If you didn't feel them in your ears, you'd swear you were wearing open-ear headphones. The spatial soundstage here is unreal. There are no words to describe how big and spacious it is. They have so much openness and again layering and separation as in a dream. They are unbelievably balanced, crystal-clear highs, mids and lows are perfectly present. I'm not a fan of heavy bass, the bass should play naturally and not cause a headache. The bass here is deep, very detailed and deep when the song calls for it. Warm, beautiful, open. No detail is left out, nothing folded, nothing crossed out. Even at low volume, these things sound insanely loud. Unreal. The sound quality here is honestly 15/10. Perhaps these are the first perfect sounding headphones I've ever heard. So are they worth the money? Well, in my opinion, if you love your music and are totally committed to your headphones, it's worth it. It's a lot of money and I had some serious doubts about buying it before deciding and kept asking questions while waiting for it to arrive, but I can say with confidence that I have no regrets. They are incredibly portable and more than manageable with your wearable device. No pair of headphones are worth anything, but if you have the cash I can't imagine anyone not raving about them. I hope this helped someone decide whether or not to buy them. For your health.
