Review on Enhance Your Home Lighting Controls with Leviton DDMX1 BLZ Decora Bluetooth Universal by Jordan Weakland

I tried this product but decided to return it for a number of reasons. I tried to connect to the device with my Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1 but couldn't connect through the Leviton app. I also tried my wife's Nexus 5 with 6.0.1 and got the same result. I saw a toggle in Bluetooth settings but couldn't pair it because shared pins weren't working. I was able to connect and use the switch with an iPhone 6s and LG G2 running Android 5.0.2. I called Leviton customer service and spent about forty-five minutes, mostly on standby, with a friendly customer service representative. He couldn't solve the problem of my Nexus 5 not connecting and suggested that I send the device to their QA lab. I decided not to bother after playing around with the app on my LG G2. Using the Decora Digital app was disappointing. After opening the app I had to select the switch, after which it spent more than ten seconds connecting to the switch and reading the settings. Call me impatient, but I don't want to wait so long to turn the light on or off. It would be nice if there was a setting so that the phone could automatically connect to the switch when the app was opened. If using this switch as a timer was my priority, it wouldn't matter much. There is hope for this product but it is not what I was hoping for.
