I ordered this item because I'm moving and my stepdaughter took over my bed a few weeks before I moved. So I ordered a King Koil bed to sleep in for about 1.5 months. I've been writing this review for three weeks now. Around it is a raised rim, pronounced on the head. I suppose if you're camping and don't want to carry pillows this would be a nice feature. But I've found this to be extremely uncomfortable under normal circumstances because when you add a pillow it raises your head to the point where it dislocates your head in relation to your spine. However, the problem was solved when I turned the bed over and slept at the foot of the bed instead of the headboard. Bed depth at least 22 inches. But the deepest leaves I could find are only 20 inches deep. This is a real problem. It was tight at first but when you wash the sheets the cotton shrinks a bit. So the sheets (brand new) just don't fit and after washing they don't fit at all. It was a big problem. I deflate the bed before pulling the sheets in, but they still don't quite fit. The surface of the bed is "pitted". They call it "coils" which are meant to be comfortable and support the spine. I didn't find them comfortable at all. If you place the topper on the bed in such a way that you don't feel the tangles, the sheets (see above) become an additional problem. If you like the feel of a nubbed mattress, you'll be fine. I don't think they are comfortable and in my opinion they don't give your back extra support as advertised. There were comments in the reviews that the bed was breathable. Yes it is, but it wasn't such a big problem that I felt the need to return it or even call support. Just add it every few days and everything seems fine. However, another big problem is related to the above. When you fill up a bed, there are no audible, visual or other signals to tell you that the bed is full. That way you're really guessing how much you need to inflate the bed. I think a related issue is the other comments about the bed protruding on the sides. Yes, that's right. But I believe that this is because there is no information on the fill level. The more you fill the bed with air, the more it bulges on the sides. But it's not a Sleep Number bed and it doesn't cost as much as an SN bed. So for the price I don't expect any air regulation or filling. The last comment I read in the reviews is that the mattress is cold. Yes, it definitely is. I have a carpet in my bedroom and the mattress is still cold. So I bought a heated mattress topper which is great. But when you start adding up the cost of everything you need to buy to make that airbed work, the price starts to go up. A heated mattress topper (for warmth), a mattress topper to soften the curve and 20 inch sheets that weren't cheap and still didn't fit etc. But despite all that (and hence a 3 star rating) I consider the price, it's still a good short-term solution to add a mattress to the house, whether for guests or for yourself. I definitely wouldn't count on it for a long-term bedding solution.
