I bought these rolls of packing tape for the 'extended' function thinking I would save money. I'm used to using these unbranded rolls as refills for the red plastic holder that comes with another, more expensive brand. However, due to the extra length of these rolls, they will not fit in the holder. The core is the correct diameter, but the amount of tape on the roll is preventing the holder from closing and the roll of tape is so tight it won't turn. This is not a quality issue of the ribbon itself. I was wrong in assuming that this stamp would fit in a different stamp holder. I've done this many times before with no problems. Wrestling with a ribbon that is not in the holder is a waste of money, especially when most of the ribbon is wasted because it unrolls unevenly from the roll. Right now I'm in the unfortunate situation of having to use every roll from the holder until I've used a few yards of tape. At the moment I can't return the rolls, but next time I will definitely buy rolls of the right length. Just a word to the wise.
