I got this for a number of reasons, the first being that the apple stylus is very thin and the way I hold it is very tiring is, so this thick holder is great for reducing that stress. The second reason is that the previously used silicone mount/sleeve was not only too slippery and often even slipped up or down the handle when squeezed, but was also a MAGNET for cat hair and lint and that led to. Me. CRAZY! The texture of this holder is somewhere between matte and polished, it's very comfortable to work with and I particularly like that it SLOWLY snaps out when you pick up the pen, which is very handy considering how expensive this pen is . The clip works great, loads without problems, I am very happy with this purchase! 10/10 would buy again, wish there were more colors (pastel purple please!). The ONLY thing I could complain about was that my old stylus had a magnetic strip and I could use it to hang my pen. a mounting bracket on the wall that was very easy to access. I started this because I didn't want the pen to be bumpy when I put it in my regular writing utensils. In this case, when I pull it back, the tip of the pen is still too close for me to feel comfortable dropping it. Mug for pencils. Luckily the clip should allow me to get it out of the way while still being handy :)
