The jar feels very thick and strong, the lid fits well but is easy to remove and the spigot lets water through. The only downside is that when full it is quite heavy and you have to be careful lifting it as the sides are so smooth but solid glass and 3 gallons. I would be shocked if it wasn't hard! I haven't used an infuser so I can't comment on that. Overall I'm very happy with the size and quality for the price. Oh, and there's a thin seam in the glass at the back, but it's not a big deal, and to be honest I can't even see it unless I fill it up since the back is up against the wall in my kitchen indicates. Also remember that you have to hang the faucet over the edge of your table/counter or put the dispenser on something to raise the faucet. But it's pretty obvious.
