I recently tested this detachable softshell and I must say it is perfect for all outdoor activities. The windproof and water-resistant properties just make it even better.I found the pockets to be deep enough to hold everything I needed for an all-day hike. As my tests showed, it keeps you warm in harsh weather conditions. The only DOWNSIDE is that the hood is not detachable.
