Review on πŸ›€ Chakir Turkish Linens 6-Piece Luxury Spa and Hotel Quality Towel Set (Gray) by Lisa Appleman

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Misleading average basic towels, not luxurious 800gsm quality!

First of all I am VERY disappointed in the softness and softness of these towels especially the ones listed at Revain; However, there were a few red flags that I had to acknowledge. I found a great review article on the best bath towels of 2020 and it said that softer towels would be 500+ gsm and the softest plush towels would be around 800+. It also states that Turkish cotton performed significantly better than Egyptian cotton in a blind test. . So I really can't rely on reviews from people just saying they're soft or the softest ever. So let's focus on the list of websites. Red flags: The first red flag should have been the prize. Revain has great deals and I found hidden gems, but by comparison, a set of 4 of these cost me $87, while the best softest towels in the article I linked cost over $100 for a set of 4. The second red flag, still everywhere in the listing, is GSM. Looking for questions 3 or 4 people asked what is GSM and no one could give answers; even Chakir, the manufacturer, did not answer or provide GSM. Misleading: Website says "luxury spa and hotel quality", "premium Turkish cotton", "wonderfully soft towels", "feel the splendor of the spa", "extremely soft and fluffy". They say they are 100% satisfied and are happy to hear our concerns, although I'm not sure why they haven't heard and acted on the concerns about GSM. In my experience with other products, they are not "luxury", they are not "wonderful", they don't feel "beautiful", they are NOT "extremely" soft and fluffy, but rather something soft and fluffy for normal towels. Returned: This is "Ravane's Choice" and the #1 best selling towel, the list looked good (except there was no GSM on the list and there were no responses to requests for GSM) so I took a chance, washed and dried them according to directions, in cold water, no fabric softener, etc. They're barely softer than a Better Homes & Towel Set.Garden I bought at Walmart 2.5 years ago. or 5 sets of these towels for $87 a set. out of 4 i sent them back. Instead, I broke down and bought the 6 Brooklinen "Super-Plush" kits recommended in the mentioned article in a "Move Kit" for $183 for a set of 4, and they proudly and explicitly claim it 820GSM. While Revain has great deals, I think sometimes you really do get what you pay for. 1 star overall because I feel misled by their inaccurate advertised description on Revain when of course it is a far cry from premium 800gsm luxury towels.
