I own a pair of ME01s from 2015 and feel comfortable saying they are very high quality and durable as I (unintentionally?) trump perpetual daylight. You. In the first few days of use I lost one of the right size silicone ear tips and support at M&D advised me to buy some Comply Foam for more comfort, durability and noise isolation. The rubber pad on the volume controls fell off after about 6-7 months of brief use, after which I decided to stop handling them with kid gloves and use them as my go-to pair for everything. Despite heavy use, all three buttons worked great even in wet, dusty and wet conditions. The only reason I recently bought a replacement pair is because of an accident that visibly damaged some of the insulation and wiring - an accident that so far has only affected the mic. (Note: the buttons and microphone have since been redesigned.) Yes, the sound quality is excellent. And yes, everything you've read about the noise when wires are moved or hit is true. I didn't have to think twice before deciding to repurchase M&D headphones - they were worth every penny.
