Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ Auto Meter 6393 Sport Comp Digital 2-1/16 inch Volts Digital Voltmeter with 40408 enhancement by Michael Richardson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Read up to ten and read a little more than Stock Photo

Excellent sensor. Some important things to know: AutoMeter uses an older photo of the front of the meter and I couldn't find an up-to-date picture anywhere, so I've included a few of them in this review. The display shows the voltage in tenths (0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, etc.). I can also confirm that the characters on the LED are slightly larger than the stock photos (this is the same size as the "Cobalt" version of this #6993 sensor. Actually the cobalt sensor is exactly the same as the other blue one) . If the voltage falls below 8.0 VDC, the display will flash. The sensor will still read about 5V DC before finally shutting down. It also reads up to 18V DC (I didn't test above). If you connect a white wire to the lighting circuit, the red LEDs will turn off and the "Volt" icon will turn white. I generally prefer analog (dial gauges) in my setup, however I recommend using a voltmeter with a digital readout as it is much easier to diagnose battery/alternator issues with an easy/quick reading resolution. .
