Gaiter Review - Moisture Resistant

Last year I bought leggings as a Christmas present so my daughter and I could enjoy snowshoeing without freezing or getting wet legs and feet. Unfortunately, last winter Mother Nature conspired to not get much snow here in southern Nevada and limited our time in the snow. This year; however, that is a whole different story. A friend and I visited Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks National Monument over the Veterans Day weekend. We got caught in a big snow storm and after the weather cleared we went for a walk in the fresh snow at Cedar Breaks. In short, I'm glad we packed our spats for the trip. Over two feet of snow fell on Cedar Break's during the storm and we were able to wear gaiters over our hiking boots. All in all these gaiters did the trick when hiking at 10,000ft and keeping us dry in deep powder - these gaiters come to the knee which is perfect for tall people like me. The only downside to these gaiters is the sling mechanism that runs under the boots, essentially a rope that needs to be knotted. It was a little difficult to untie the knot when the air temperature was around 0 degrees, but we were able to close the gaiters and move up the mountain with maximum ease and comfort. A good product for those who practice outdoor sports and need dryness in wet/snow conditions.

  • Enjoyable
Cons
