It is lightweight, easy to use SDKs that can be used in most languages (e.g., Python). The documentation could be better but nothing too bad either way. I think it has an amazing community around it which makes communicating with them very simple if you are having trouble figuring something out. If your team uses python, this is probably what they would want because of all the cool things available like numpy etc. For example, we needed a way to serialize complex data structures so that they could be easily sent over a connection. We were able to do this quickly by using some libraries provided via lelylan including ones written specifically for doing such work. This was extremely helpful as our product evolved.
