First thought the glass was broken. But it turns out there was no glass on the original part either. Upon closer inspection, this part actually looks OEM. The same thickness everywhere, the same weight, the perfect fit. And it works great - the picture is as vivid as we remember it when it was new. The only thing I noticed different was the shape of the terminal at the base, although the new one was just as solid. So if it's not OEM then at least from experience I can say it's the real deal. Very happy with the result.
