Much better than using a suction cup!
Installation was easy, it stuck to the tile. I had a shower caddy, but with this soap dish and another wall basket, there's nothing banging on the tub at 4am to scare me anymore, and little family members can easily reach everything. Otherwise it is a soap dish. He's holding our soap. I have a small loofah rug that I put under the soap to keep it clean and it detaches from the wall mount pretty easily if it needs to be cleaned from time to time. I didn't remove the wall plate (you need to use a hair dryer) so I can't comment on how easy it is.
